“I contracted Dave Key with a brief to design and build an orchard - Wanted around a dozen fruit trees and some means of protecting them from birds.

Dave came up with a fabulous design and the value-add of vegetable boxes and a planted hedge to protect trees from wind. He and his team of fabulous workers located to our area for the week and completed the job within the week - on budget and on schedule.

The finish result completely exceeded all my expectations in every way. The attention to detail and the passion Dave brings to his work is exemplary. The extensive preparation of the soil and holes for planting of the trees means i will have minimal maintenance. Every surface of the structure has been ‘smoothed’ so there are no rough surfaces and every fitting is evenly spaced. There is even a cement slab (non slip) under the doorway and a path leading to the orchard.

In addition to planting the trees Dave also planted out the veg boxes and added additional plants around the edge of the structure to maximize attractiveness to bees.

The project cost was very reasonable and affordable. Dave also adhered to his original start/finish time for the project, despite appalling weather conditions (extreme wind, rain and mud).

Dave’s team were all very friendly, courteous and happy and went out of their way to fit in and work around horse activities on the property.
